Home
Automation is a building automation for Home which is also called ‘Smart Home’
or Smart House’. It’s the ‘Internet of Things’.
It
allows the user to automate and control various devices which are connected
over network through some common protocol via Ethernet (LAN) or Wi-fi or RF.
It
allows scheduling and control of various system devices like – lighting,
heating, ventilation, air-conditioning (HVAC), shades or curtains, motorized
shutters or windows, motorized gates and doors, entertainment systems like –
Home Theatre system, TV, Projectors, etc.
It can
also monitor and control Security alarm or Intrusion alarm systems, CCTV
Surveillance, Gas leakage detection, sensors, Electronic or Digital Door locks,
IP Video Door Phones, etc.
Your
smart home can be locally controlled through Smart phones or Tablets or Smart
touch switches or Remote controls via Home Wi-fi network or can also be
remotely accessed through Internet from anywhere in the world.
Automation refers to the ability to program and schedule events for the devices
on the network. The programming may include time-related commands, such as
having your lights turn on or off at specific times each day. It can also
include non-scheduled events, such as turning on all the lights in your home
when your security system alarm is triggered.
You can
create or program various Scenes or Moods as per convenience, taste, liking and
life-style – like – a wake-up scene opens up the window shades to let the
morning light in, switch off night lamps, switch off AC, switch on the fan,
etc. automatically.
It is
energy efficient since you can switch off lighting, AC, electrical devices,
etc. when not in use with the convenience of your Smart phone. Also, you can
program or schedule switching on & amp; off devices at specific times only
which saves a lot of energy and money.
Today’s
increasingly evolving Home automation is user-friendly, easy-to- use, smart and
intuitive with different features which can surely save your time and money.
